I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Davis, California. I received a Masters in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2012. I feel honored to work with clients of all ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, socio-economic groups, physical abilities, and religious and spiritual beliefs who want to overcome behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that get in the way of their ability to live the life they want. I am Trans-friendly. Bringing creative experiences into therapy sessions can be beneficial because they help us to go deep and often serve as bridges between conscious and unconscious parts. That said, I tailor sessions to each unique client. For some people, straight talk therapy is best. I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT and other evidence-based modalities, as well as Brainspotting, Play Therapy, Sand Play, Depth work, and Bereavement counseling. Personal growth and creativity have always been central to my life. After graduating from UC Davis with a degree in English Studies (which was a fantastic adventure in itself), I fulfilled a childhood dream (and stepped outside of my comfort zone) by creating and running the cafe "Delta of Venus" in Davis, California. My friend, Audrey and I created DOV largely because we wanted to establish a safe place for people who might feel marginalized.
