Stress and anxiety can be managed. I incorporate different approaches depending on the needs of the individual. Often a combination of solution-focused approaches and psychodynamic exploration can address many needs. I work collaboratively and tailor these approaches in concert with you and your interests. Regarding relationships, these can range from parental, peer, romantic, etc.I help with relational issues that may have eroded over time. I will listen to you with non-judgmental compassion and offer you practical information and techniques to help you achieve more satisfying relationships, and move forward toward your dreams, goals and life aspirations. My experience includes anxiety and stress reduction, among other issues. My approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, (MBSR), Emotional Dysregulation, as informed by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, (EFT), Parenting Skills, and Integrative Psychodynamic Therapy. I have worked with individuals of all ages, families, and older adolescents. I have over 25 years experience as a full time university professor and experience with students from UC-Davis.
