I infuse sessions with optimism, kindness, and a gentle sense of humor as we join together in creative problem-solving to work through difficult issues. I strive to help each client realize the full potential of his or her inner and outer resources for healing and personal growth. Each client’s therapy is unique, based upon his or her individual needs. I utilize a variety of techniques, including talk therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, creative visualization, and cognitive behavioral interventions. My therapeutic approach is empathetic, client-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused; and my therapeutic understanding is based primarily on psychodynamic, developmental, object relations, attachment, and neurobiological models.
